NEVER SAY NIGGER AGAIN

NEVER SAY NIGGER AGAIN

One's Commitment to BRIDGE the GAP by ELIMINATING it's USE !

There are those of us who think that the word "Nigger" is something sweet and clean.

  • That's my Nigger
  • Hey Nigger Baby
  • What's up Nigger

A million times a day we speak its name upon our children, upon ourselves, to each other, in our homes, in our schools, in our churches, from our hearts, in our music and in our art.

But for this old man, the word "NIGGER" is not something sweet or something clean.

It's original meaning and It's original intent is still something UGLY and MEAN.

  • Denigrating
  • Degradating
  • Deprecating
  • Devastating

This is my way of saying to this nation, all nations and to all worlds beyond. To never say "NIGGER" again.

My Life History

I was born in New Smyrna Beach, located on the East Coast of Flordia about fifteen miles from Daytona Beach. I graduated from Chisholm High School. At the age of sixteen, I took a stand as a Human Right Activist. I was faced with racism in New Smyrna Beach concerning Black children who were not allowed to swim in the public beaches, pools or play tennis in the same area with White children. I and all members of my senior class had agreed to meet with the Mayor of New Smyrna Beach, but on the day of the meeting I was the only student to appear.  I talked and shared my concerns regarding the issue of segregated public facilities. This was in 1960.

When I applied for medical school in the state of Flordia, I received a letter stating that they had their quota of Negroes.  Southern states including Florida would give you a loan or grant to attend school in another state just to prevent you from attending or trying to integrate one of their schools.  Those of us who wanted to become doctors , lawyers, architects, and enginners were denied entrance into those schools, not because of an inability to master the subject matter, but only because of the color of our skin.

I attended under graduate school at Howard University in Washington, DC, and medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
